Webfusion Ltd. is a leading UK web hosting Company. We are seeking to recruit a Perl Developer to step in to a role with real influence, and be part of a team working on some great high profile and successful brands, such as Webfusion and 123-reg.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure software under development is managed with appropriate source code control and release processes
• Ensure software adheres to relevant coding standards and is documented using internal systems
• Interact with the product managers to gather requirements, deploy and when relevant support our systems
• Work with Hosting Operations when researching & designing new products as well as offering support to ensure relevant SLA’s are met

Experience required

• Training in Linux-related tools & technologies
• Minimum three years experience developing applications using Perl as a primary job role in a commercial environment
• Above average knowledge of relational databases and db design (particularly MySQL)
• Experience of object oriented design and development using Perl
• Experience of creating unit test
• Good communication skills
• Able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
• Experienced at working in a team environment.
